A band called “No More Kings” wrote a song about Johnny, and his struggles to deal with the aftermath of losing the All Valley Karate Championship. The actor who played Johnny, William Zabka, heard the song, loved it, and even offered to direct the music video for it. He wrangled up several of the actors from the movie to reprise their roles from The Karate Kid, and the result (in my opinion) is truly satisfying. Check it out:
It’s kind of silly, but I really think that it begs the question, how bad was Johnny really? Maybe there are a lot less bad guys in the world than it is popular to believe. Let’s try to lessen the idea of us and them. The others are just like us.
