About Zac

I am an amalgam of the different people, places, and things that have come across my path since 1980. I love to discuss the scope of human potential, motivation, success, failure, and creativity.

I’ve spent my days with a number of different organizations, filling a number of different roles. I’ve been a teacher, a youth pastor, a loan officer, a facilitator, a consultant, a real estate agent, and a pen salesman (for one day at least). I married the same woman twice, and we’ve each divorced each other once. The role that I hope best defines me is father. I have three ridiculously different and fascinatingly awesome kids.

Currently, I do contract trainings and facilitations for various organizations for various lengths of time. The content of these trainings typically relate to my Organizational Psychology degree.

Finding out and discovering what makes us all tick really helps me to flow. I like to wrestle with and write about these things, along with sharing some of the resources and illustrations that I have found along the way. Psychology, behavioral economics, and religion are often on my mind, and therefore often on my blog.

I’m all about Malcolm Gladwell’s theory of performing an action for 10,000 hours in order to become proficient. Not everything that I write about is profound or even interesting, but I believe that it is useful in my journey to wordsmith mastery. Someday, I will write an amazing book, and you can tell all of your friends that you used to read my website “back in the day”. It will be a lot of fun.

Now, what hour am I on…?
