One of the clearest applications of the PX2 curriculum is in the realm of sports. Many top athletes understand how much of their success is due to their personal mental discipline. PX2′s explanation of how we visualize and rehearse our actions in our minds before we physically perform them, has a clear connection with the training and competition of the sports world.
Coaches often realize the futility of some of their methods after going through PX2. This program focuses on the root causes of behavior. Helping an athlete fix a problem at the root cause is clearly better than simply dealing with symptoms of the problem. Concepts like: “We move toward and become like that which we think about.” show that replaying video of an athlete’s mistake may in fact cause that athlete to repeat it.
