PX2 Sports: Football

To date, our highest profile of sports success with PX2 has come from Division I football.

University of Alabama

Nick Saban inherited a mountain of expectaions when he took over the reigns at the Univeristy of Alabama in 2007.  Crimson Tide football is a religion to many in the area, and losing games in not a part of their sacrament.  After a 7-6 record in the 2007 season, more work was left to be done.  Coach Saban brought in The Pacific Institute and put his players through the PX2 program during training camp in 2008.  The result?  The number one ranking in the country for several weeks and an eventual 12-2 record.

TPI came back in 2009 for training camp to train the freshman and refresh the upperclassman.  For much of the year, Alabama flip flopped with Florida fore the number one ranking in college football.  On January 7, 2010, the Crimson Tide defeated Texas for the BCS National Championship in Pasadena, CA.

Something is definitely going right.

Below, you can watch a short video of TPI facilitators Antowaine Richardson and Nesby Glasgow as they take the team through the PX2 program together.

As shown on the intro video to PX2 Sports, Pete Carroll is a big fan of Lou Tice’s work and The Pacific Institute’s programs.  A strong believer in mental toughness and a personal development, he has been using TPI’s programs for years.

His passion is not only with his football team at the University of Southern California, but also for the community of Los Angeles.  ESPN produced a segment for Sportscenter on Carroll on his philosophy of life and his relationship with the community.  Keep your eyes peeled for a cameo by Lou Tice.
