In February 2024, I finally pulled the trigger on something I’d felt a nudging or calling to do for quite a while, which was launching my own video podcast. I’ve always enjoyed editing videos, and with the move to Zoomified conversations that came from the COVID pandemic, the opportunities to have meaningful, real conversations with people from all over the world were suddenly available to us.

When I sat down to record my first episode, and I tried to give the project a theme and a frame, it came back to “church”. I had assumed that I’d maybe want to focus on meaning making or maybe even how I tend to use media to better understand an experience or concept, but what came out of my mouth, was “church”.

I’ve now released a handful of episodes that (in my opinion) get better and better in terms of their production value, and may even be getting better in their quality. Whatever is happening, it’s been a real journey already, just a month or so in. If you’re intrigued so far, you can check out the YouTube playlist and get a taste. The first two videos are kind of a set up for the project, and things really get going with the Call Me Jordan conversation.

The easiest way to stay up to date with this project is directly through YouTube, where you can subscribe to the channel. If you have feedback or thoughts, commenting directly on the videos is also the best way to go. Let’s see where this project goes from here!
